A successful start to the term has seen an increase in junior competition. Making the most of the good weather, we saw a fantastic turn out to our yellow ball competition which saw some new players enter. As the sun shone on our outdoor courts we saw 12 players battle it out for the first place trophy. All players received certificates for participation and the club is pleased with the standard of play from the players.
This month we also saw an increase in our 8 and under player’s interest in competition. A teaching tournament for parents and players saw an increase in understanding about Red competition and the role a parent play in assisting their players. All parents took it in turns to umpire matches and practice their line calls while the players learned about etiquette and singles tactics. All involved had a great time and all received certificates for taking part. We look forward to organising more teaching events and junior competition.
